ABOUT LEVARNA

ABOUT LEVARNA

Before I ever coached a bridal artist, I built a bridal business of my own.

I’m Levarna Wolland — bridal artist, business owner and coach. I’ve spent 18 years in the bridal industry, building a hair and makeup business that has completed more than 1,000 weddings and, at its peak, managed more than 200 weddings a year with a team of 15 artists.

HOW I GOT HERE

HOW I GOT HERE

For a long time, I thought growing meant booking more weddings too.

I built a bridal hair and makeup business that achieved consistent multi-six-figure years, won multiple industry awards and completed more than 1,000 weddings. At its peak, we had a team of 15 artists and managed more than 200 weddings in a single year.

The business was successful and profitable. But a big part of that success came from scale — more weddings, more artists and more volume.

And that’s the model I see so many bridal artists still chasing. When the margin on each wedding is small, earning more means doing more. More bookings. More weekends. More clients. More people to manage.

Eventually, I started looking at growth differently. Instead of asking how many more weddings can we book?, I became far more interested in how much should each wedding actually be making?

That’s what shapes the work I do now: helping bridal artists understand their costs, build healthier margins and price for the income they actually want — without needing an enormous volume of weddings to get there.

MY APPROACH

MY APPROACH

Being good at hair or makeup and knowing how to run a profitable business are two completely different skill sets.

Being good at hair or makeup and knowing how to run a profitable business are two completely different skill sets.

Most bridal artists were never taught how to calculate the true cost of a wedding, understand their margins, structure profitable pricing or work backwards from the income they actually want.

That’s the part of the industry I care about changing.

I teach artists to look beyond bookings, followers and how busy the calendar looks — and understand the numbers underneath the business. Because a busy bridal business and a profitable bridal business are not necessarily the same thing.

The goal isn’t simply to do more weddings. It’s to make the weddings you choose to do financially worthwhile.

And yes, I still understand what Saturday mornings in the bridal industry actually look like.

This industry is incredibly rewarding, but it asks a lot of you — early starts, weekends, travel, emotional labour, endless messages and an enormous amount of work brides never see. I believe the business you build around that work should compensate you properly for it.
